Facebook is testing a new way to display affiliate links more prominently on creators’ Reels, videos, photos, and text posts.
Creators can now add a custom link name and promo code to their affiliate links when sharing them from affiliate programs such as Amazon, Impact, LTK, Magikly, Rakuten, Sephora, Shopee, Shop Your Likes, Temu, and Walmart.
For Reels, affiliate links will appear as a banner at the bottom of the video. On photos and text posts, affiliate links will be displayed at the bottom of the content. Additionally, affiliate links across Reels, videos, photos, and text posts will be pinned above the comments.
For certain domains, Facebook will automatically detect affiliate links added to a creator’s post description and generate a product banner on their Reel. Facebook will also remind creators to use the “Paid Partnership” label when affiliate links are detected.
Previously, affiliate links were only displayed as a URL in the post description.
