The team said the rainbow coloring on the wordmarks and side panels is inspired by the Nuggets’ history of rainbow uniforms.
DENVER — The Denver Nuggets and NBA revealed a new alternate uniform on Thursday.
The new City Edition jersey will be an alternate for the 2024-25 NBA season.
The “5280” City Edition uniforms feature a twist on the team’s “5280” theme from last year, but on a white uniform, with rainbow mountains in the background.
The Nuggets said the rainbow elements connect “eras, players and uniforms and symbolizes the shared evolution of the city and franchise.” The theme is also inspired by Colorado sunsets.
The new jerseys and shorts are available at the Nuggets’ team store and online at the NBA store.
“The 5280 on the chest and the mountain shapes formed by lines pay homage to the Nuggets’ unique standing as the only team to play a mile above sea level and Denver’s scenic mountain views,” NBA.com said.
