DENVER — A Denver radio station is preparing to switch to an all-Christmas music format for a 23rd year.
KOSI 101.1 will flip the switch to nonstop Christmas holiday music at a live event on Thursday.
The public can attend the Christmas music launch at Cherry Creek North. KOSI will be broadcasting live from 4 to 6 p.m. at Moxy Denver Cherry Creek at 240 Josephine St. with a visit from the KOSI Bear and Santa’s helpers.
The Christmas music switch will happen at 5 p.m. Thursday.
“Once again, we will launch into Christmas music outdoors live at Cherry Creek North,” said KOSI Program Director Jim Lawson. “Everyone who came out had such a good time last year, we knew we had to do it there again this year.”
KOSI will play classic holiday songs from Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Burl Ives, Gene Autry, Andy Williams and Johnny Mathis, as well as contemporary hits by Michael Bublé, Carrie Underwood, Josh Groban and John Legend, 24 hours a day.
You can listen to KOSI on the radio at 101.1 FM, on the computer at KOSI101.com, on the free KOSI 101 app, or on smart speakers.
