A man went into the woman’s apartment through her second-story balcony and assaulted her on May 4. The man remains unidentified, Fort Collins Police say.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Fort Collins Police Department is seeking the public’s help in a home invasion and assault investigation.
On May 4, Fort Collins police officers responded to the Brookview Apartments at 1200 East Stuart Street for a home invasion and assault. The victim, a healthcare worker, was asleep in her second-floor apartment when a masked man entered through her balcony and assaulted her, the media release says.
During the assault, the suspect questioned the woman about how she had sinned and demanded she confess, according to the media release. The man left the apartment after neighbors attempted to intervene.
Even with investigative efforts, the masked man hasn’t been identified. He’s described as a male with a slender build and 6 feet tall, police said.
The police said if you work or are around the area of the Brookview Apartments often, you may have valuable information. Fort Collins Police asked you to contact the department regardless of how insignificant you think the information is or whether they may already know about it.
