New Zealand PM apologises to victims of abuse in state and church care

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has issued an apology to survivors of abuse in state and church care. An inquiry found that 200,000 children and vulnerable adults had been abused over the span of seven decades, with Indigenous Maoris disproportionately affected.
