CU Police investigate antisemitic vandalism

University leaders said the graffiti was found Friday morning in at least five places.

Police are investigating the overnight vandalism of several buildings on the University of Colorado Boulder campus.

University leaders said the graffiti was found Friday morning in at least five places on campus: the Regent Administrative Center, Kittredge Hall, the Fleming Building, Cheyenne Arapaho Hall and the tunnel under Regent by Fiske Planetarium.

The school said the antisemitic messages contained in some of the vandalism violates the university’s policies on free expression and campus use of university facilities, as well as state law.

“It’s pretty disgusting to see that acts of this nature can still occur over a year after Oct. 7,” said Jake Stone with the Israel on Campus Coalition. “It’s unfortunately the new norm, which is in itself quite frustrating and incredibly disgusting.”

There have been no arrests in the case, and crews continue to work to clean up the graffiti.

Anyone with information about the crimes is encouraged to call CU Police at 303-492-6666.
