A passerby found the body of 28-year-old David Richardson in an alley on Aug. 17 in Denver.
DENVER — A man on parole after serving time for burglary convictions has been arrested in connection with a homicide in August.
David Richardson, 28, was found shot to death in the 1200 block alley between North Verbena Street and North Wabash Street on Aug. 15.
Richardson, who was known to friends as “Envy” or “E”, had been shot at an unknown location before his body was left in the alley, according to police.
Taleur Davis, 27, was arrested on Oct. 30 on charges of first-degree murder, tampering with a deceased human body, tampering with physical evidence, and a parole violation.
According to a police department spokesman, there was an ongoing dispute between Davis and the victim. Following the shooting, the spokesman said that David and an accomplice identified as Jonathan Davis, moved Richardson’s body to the alley where it was found and reported to police.
Jonathan Davis was arrested in August.
According to the Colorado Department of Corrections, Taleur Davis was released from prison on Dec. 15, 2021. He was serving time for burglary cases out of Denver, according to court records.
