DENVER — A portion of southbound Interstate 25 was shut down Monday afternoon as police conducted follow-up investigative work related to a shooting on Friday.
Denver Police said it is investigating the shooting in the 4800 block of South Quebec Street in the Denver Tech Center that injured two men who are expected to survive.
On Friday, Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) cameras showed an SUV on the right shoulder of southbound I-25 at the East Union Avenue bridge, just before the East Belleview Avenue exit. That vehicle had visible holes in the windshield and appeared to be related to the shooting, police said.
Monday afternoon, the southbound lanes of the highway were shut down between Downing and University Boulevard for additional investigation. It’s not clear when it might reopen.
