AURORA, Colo. — A man who was found unresponsive early Monday morning in an Aurora park was fatally shot, according to police.
The man was found lying in McMullen Park near East 3rd Avenue and Elmira Street around 5:45 a.m. When officers arrived, they found evidence at the scene to suggest he had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they’re not sure when the man was shot and no one is in custody. His name will be released by the coroner’s office at a later time.
