Man shot outside of northern Colorado house party

Police said shots were fired at a residence in the 400 block of Butch Cassidy Drive early Saturday morning.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A man was shot in the early morning hours on Saturday outside of a house party in Fort Collins, police said.

Fort Collins Police said officers responded to a shots fired call in the 400 block of Butch Cassidy Drive just before 3 a.m. While officers rushed to the scene, another emergency call was made by a man who said he had been shot, police said.

The man who was shot was at a different location in his vehicle. Officers arrived and found the victim suffering from one gunshot wound, police said. There were other bullet holes in the vehicle, according to police.

The man was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive, police said.

Police said that, through their investigation, they learned that a physical disturbance broke out at the house party and then shots were fired.
