High temperatures will be close to 16 degrees warmer than normal in Denver on Thursday. A slight cool down on Friday with highs just above 70.
DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Kathy Sabine
FORECAST AT A GLANCE: High temperatures jumped above average again today into the mid 80s which is fifteen degrees above average but not quite at the record for today.
Friday will be cooler with the arrival of a dry weak front. Look for more cloud cover and afternoon highs ten degrees cooler in the mid 70s!
The cool down will be short lived as we jump back into the lower 80s with lots of sunshine and wind Saturday. Critical fire weather conditions are likely to start the weekend ahead of a strong front due in on Sunday.
will likely make it into the middle 80’s on the Front Range Thursday. If it hits the forecast high of 84 degrees in Denver, that would be 16 degrees warmer than our normal high temperature for Oct. 10.
The second front will bring temperatures down into the lower 70s for Sunday and the start of the work week. That will make the Broncos home game and any other outdoor activities very comfortable with highs in the middle 70’s.
That should kick off a bit of a pattern change for next week that will feature several cooler days. The high temperatures for next week have been trending warmer over the last 24 hours of forecast simulations but we could get a few days below 80 degrees in Denver. It’s still warmer than normal but at least a slight cool down.
