LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Lakewood police are asking for the public’s help finding a 12-year-old girl who was seen getting into a pickup truck early Tuesday morning.
Police said Samantha “Gia” Mora, 12, was last seen around 12:41 a.m. Tuesday on West 13th Avenue near the intersection with Harlan Street in Lakewood. Surveillance video showed her getting into a pickup truck with an unknown person, police said. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said there are concerns for her safety.
Police said Samantha was last seen wearing a white Batman t-shirt, black sweatpants and white Nike shoes and carrying a small black purse. Police said she does not have a cell phone or any other way of communicating with family members.
The truck she got into is an older-model two-door GMC pickup with a temporary license plate, police said. The hood and bed of the truck are light blue, and the cab is white. Police said there are large red decals on the rear window that say “In Loving Memory” above a name.
Anyone with information on Samantha’s whereabouts is asked to call Lakewood police at 303-980-7300 and reference case number LK24-031993, or call 911.
