Israeli soldiers raise flag in Lebanese town’s “Iran Garden”

Video posted online shows soldiers hoisting an Israeli flag on the ruins of Iran Garden park in Maroun al-Ras, southern Lebanon. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said the flag raising was “obviously inappropriate”. Satellite photos show 40 Israeli military vehicles positioned around a nearby UNIFIL base with Irish peacekeepers.
