Police need help identifying man accused of firing weapon at group of juveniles

One person was nearly hit by gunfire during the incident which happened in the 2900 block of South Havana Street in Aurora.

AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora are looking for a man who fired a weapon at a group of juveniles nearly hitting one of them while making racist remarks. No injuries were reported.

This week, police released photos of the man they’re looking for in connection with the incident that happened in the 2900 block of South Havana Street. 

The man is believed to be between 25 and 35 years old. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans,  and black and white shoes. He was carrying a green backpack and wearing an ID or work badge on a lanyard around his neck.

He may be armed with a handgun and should not be approached if seen, police said.
