The eastbound I-70 ramp to eastbound C-470 closed after a truck’s load was hanging off the overpass.
GOLDEN, Colo. — A semi truck crashed in Golden Monday morning closing a highway ramp.
The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said a single semi truck crashed on the eastbound C-470 ramp from eastbound Interstate 70 around 8:45 a.m. Monday.
CSP said the truck’s load was hanging off the overpass. CSP troopers and local law enforcement observed the truck leaking engine fluid and dish soap from its load. It was unknown how much of the truck’s load spilled onto the road.
The driver of the semi truck was transported to a local area hospital, CSP said. The condition of the truck driver is unknown.
CSP said the ramp from eastbound I-70 to eastbound C-470 was still closed, as of 12:30 p.m. Monday. Drivers are asked to take an alternate route.
