Sunny, dry weather continues

More sunshine and dry weather this weekend, highs staying above-average.

DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Laurann Robinson

TODAY AT A GLANCE:

Our sunny, dry stretch of weather continues.

Friday afternoon, a weak cool front pushed through Colorado, dropping afternoon highs from the 90s on Thursday, into the middle 80s (still above our seasonal high of 75 degrees). This front also brought brief, spotty rain showers across the high country. Those showers will continue to linger through the evening hours, before drying up late Friday night. Overnight lows stay mild, in the middle 50s.

Saturday, afternoon temperatures rise a tad, into the upper 80s. Sunny, dry conditions stick around.

By Sunday, it’s looking like we’ll be back in the 90s, continuing our ever-growing accumulation of 90-degree days this year. Additionally, we could match (or break) our existing record high of 92 degrees, last set in 1892.

Afternoon temperatures remain in the 80s through most of next week, with another possible heat record going down Wednesday. Stay tuned!
