Temperatures continue above the average of 75 degrees through next week. More record highs likely with little chance for meaningful moisture.
DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Kathy Sabine
TODAY AT A GLANCE:
A beautiful Friday in Fall in September when average highs reach the mid 70s, we will enjoy a day with afternoon temperatures in the mid 80s. It will be cooler than the record highs in the lower to middle 90s Thursday! This brief cool down compliments of a passing weak front earlier today. That front is bringing in some mid-level cloudiness and will also bring very isolated brief rain showers and storms across the high country. Nothing impactful or widespread is expected.
For the weekend, prepare for more sunshine and heat. Highs rise above average again, into the upper 80s, Saturday, then even further, into the lower 90s, Sunday. Additionally, Denver could break another record high, Sunday, currently sitting at 92 degrees, last set in 1892.
Afternoon temperatures remain in the 80s through most of next week, with another possible heat record going down Wednesday. Stay tuned!
