Our warm dry weather pattern continues with lots of sunshine and above average highs. A record high in the lower 90s is possible today ahead of weak dry cool front
DENVER — THE FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Chris Bianchi
FORECAST AT A GLANCE:
Our unusually warm Fall weather pattern continues.. highs today will run way above the average of 75 degrees.
Look for highs in the low 90s, which would mark our 8th-latest 90-degree reading on record, and it’d break the current daily record (90°, 2010). We’ll be dry today with mostly sunny skies overhead, though we could see a few high-level clouds this afternoon.
A weak cold front drops temperatures a tad for tomorrow, though highs will still be on the hot side. We’ll reach the low 80s in Denver with a bit of a breeze.
But make no mistake about it: This heat isn’t going away anytime soon. Temperatures spike right back up into the upper 80s or low 90s for both Saturday and Sunday, and we’ll be close to a daily record both days.
Another dry front sweeps through on Monday, and that’ll bring us a bit of wind as well and highs in the 70s for Monday and Tuesday of next week.
There are no meaningful rain chances in the forecast for the Denver area anytime in the next 10 days.
This late summer pattern is very likely to continue into early fall, so if you’re a summer lover, enjoy the warmth!
