No shots have been fired as police search Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge.
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Police are searching Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital on Friday morning after a report of a man with a gun in a holster.
The Wheat Ridge Police Department (WPD) said there is no active shooter at the hospital Friday morning.
Police said a call came in at 8:30 a.m. Friday about a man with a holstered weapon in the hospital. WPD said there were no shots fired.
Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital is on lockdown while police search the building. The emergency room (ER) was open and accepting patients, but has since closed to allow law enforcement to do a full sweep of the hospital, a spokeswoman said.
