BOULDER, Colo. — Police have arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run crash who drove his vehicle onto Folsom Field Thursday.
The University of Colorado Boulder issued an emergency alert via social media just before 7:20 p.m. Thursday warning of a heavy police presence at Folsom Field and advising the public to avoid the area.
The Boulder Police Department said it was coordinating with CU Boulder Police to arrest a driver who had left the scene of a hit-and-run crash at Foothills Parkway and Arapahoe Road and entered the stadium.
The university posted another alert at 7:44 p.m. that says that a suspect was taken into custody after driving his vehicle onto the football field.
Boulder Police said there is no threat to the community.
