Firefighters had to use power tools used in vehicle extrications to save the kitten.
LARIMER COUNTY, Colorado — A brave kitten is recovering after being rescued from a dumpster last week.
On Monday, the Poudre Fire Authority posted on Facebook that a kitten had gotten its head trapped in a small hole while trying to exit a dumpster.
With the strong material of the dumpster and tight fit, it required extremely precise use of power tools often used in vehicle extrications, the agency said. Firefighters worked with CSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital to get the kitten free by sedating it.
The kitten is now recovering at NOCO Humane and will hopefully be available for adoption soon.
