Identities of 2 killed at Aurora park released

Police said two people were found dead in Utah Park on South Peoria Street after a third victim walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound Sunday morning.

AURORA, Colorado — Aurora Police are investigating after two people were killed and another was injured in a shooting Sunday morning.

Police said officers spoke with an 18-year-old woman seriously injured by a gunshot wound who walked into the hospital around 2:15 a.m. They determined a shooting took place in Utah Park, located in the 1800 block of South Peoria Street.

Officers responded to the park and found two more victims who were dead. The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Isaiah Ray Chavez Seppelt, 20, and Ahmad Malachi Richardson, 18. Both lived in Aurora.

Investigators believe the shooting happened around 1:55 a.m. and was an isolated incident between known parties. In a release Monday, police said the woman and several other people were at a house party in south Aurora where there was a fight. Several people then left the party and traveled to Utah Park.

No arrests have been made yet, police said.
