Police said two people were found dead in Utah Park on South Peoria Street after a third victim walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound Sunday morning.
AURORA, Colorado — Aurora Police are investigating after two people were killed and another was injured in a shooting Sunday morning.
Police said officers spoke with a victim seriously injured by a gunshot wound who walked into the hospital around 2:15 a.m. They determined a shooting took place in Utah Park, located in the 1800 block of South Peoria Street.
Officers responded to the park and found two more victims who were dead.
Investigators were not able to share many details but believe the shooting happened around 1:55 a.m. and was an isolated incident between known parties.
There will be a large police presence at the park for several hours Sunday morning while officers investigate.
The victims will be identified by the coroner’s office after an autopsy and notification of next of kin.
