While temperatures will be seasonal again today, we’ll boost highs nicely into the 60-degree range for tomorrow before our next potential snow next week.
DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Chris Bianchi
THE FORECAST AT A GLANCE:
We’re still underneath the influence of a big ridge of high pressure, and that’ll keep us dry and mild for the next few days in Denver and across most of the state.
Highs today will be a few degrees warmer than yesterdays, with a high around 56° in Denver under sunny skies. The foothills wind should notably relax as we head through the day today, thanks to the ridge moving more directly overhead. Highs will be a bit colder though in snowpack-covered locations, like Denver International Airport and the Eastern Plains.
We’ll warm up a few more degrees for tomorrow, with a high near 60° in Denver. There’ll be a bit more of a breeze in the mountains ahead of our next storm which’ll likely lead to some mountain snow showers for Saturday, especially along and north of I-70. Snow totals from that storm look light, with perhaps 1-4″ possible in the mountains (Denver will stay dry and a bit cooler).
A storm system approaching from our south and west will bring some rain showers to the Eastern Plains for Monday, but it appears too far east to bring any rain to the Denver area.
A secondary storm behind that one, though, will bring the mountains some snow first on Tuesday before potentially bringing in snow for Tuesday night and Wednesday. Recent computer forecast model runs have trended a bit stronger with this storm, so it may bring accumulating snow to the Denver area for the middle of next week.
We’ll keep you posted on that storm and in the meantime, enjoy the mild and dry weather!
