Gregory Herrera Santoro, 33, and Brayan Espino Ibarra, 16, were shot in the 4400 block of South Syracuse Street about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25. Ibarra was pronounced dead at the scene. Santoro drove away from the shooting scene and was found about three miles away in the 7000 block of East Hampden Avenue, according to the Denver Medical Examiner’s Office.
On Thursday, police said they had identified 22-year-old Kervin Jose Mota as the gunman in Ibarra and Santoro’s deaths.
Mota also goes by “Cuerito”, police said.
