DENVER — The first significant snowfall in the Denver metro area this season caused widespread disruptions, with fallen branches and scattered power outages.
As of 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Xcel was reporting nearly 32,000 customers without power.
Xcel’s outage map and updates on power restoration efforts are available on their website.
A major winter storm is bearing down on the Denver metro area, with historic snow totals continuing across the eastern plains.
Heavy, wet snow continues across the Front Range and Eastern Plains.
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are currently in-place across most of the high country, front range and eastern plains, through noon Saturday.
