We’ll be mild in the 60s in Denver for both today and tomorrow before a wintry look to things for next week.
DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Chris Bianchi
THE FORECAST AT A GLANCE:
We’ll start November on a beautifully tranquil note, with a high in the low 60s and just a few high clouds for today in Denver. Light winds will prevail as well, so enjoy the pleasant fall weather!
We’ll warm up a bit tomorrow with a high in the mid-60s, and a bit more high cloud cover and a bit blustery in the mountains, with 20-30 mph gusts ahead of our next storm system.
That storm will bring some mountain snow starting on Sunday afternoon to the mountains, with a few inches possible by Sunday night.
It looks increasingly likely that we’ll get our first snow of the season sometime next week in Denver. There are two or three chances for this: the first comes on Sunday night into Monday morning. This storm will probably be mainly rain for most of the metro area below 6,000′ in elevation, but we could end with a little slushy snow on Monday morning. The foothills could get a few inches of snow from this storm, but it’ll depend on the strength of our area of low pressure. Stay tuned.
A colder storm arrives for Wednesday, and this one could bring a few inches of snow to the metro area. It’s still early, but it looks potentially quite chilly and perhaps snowy in Denver next Wednesday.
Another storm looks to follow some time in the Friday-Sunday time window (next weekend), with perhaps more snow chances.
So if you like the fall weather, enjoy it while we’ve got it. Next week is trending wintry with a good chance that Denver will see our first snow – and perhaps several inches of it – some time next week.
