The shooting was reported in the 10900 block of East 16th Avenue just before 3 a.m. Friday.
AURORA, Colo. — A man has died after a shooting early Friday morning at an Aurora apartment complex on East 16th Avenue.
Aurora officer responded to the complex in the 10900 block of East 16th Avenue around 2:45 a.m. Friday for a report of a shooting. That’s near the intersection with Joliet Street about one block north of East Colfax Avenue.
When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said they had detained a man in connection with the shooting, but it’s not clear if he’s been formally arrested.
