A couple won a costume contest for their Casa Bonita and sopaipilla Halloween outfits.
LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Only in Colorado does Halloween look like this.
Makayla Owen and her husband dressed as Casa Bonita and a sopaipilla for Halloween.
Owen said they won a Halloween costume contest for the terrific outfits that would make any Coloradan proud.
Casa Bonita, owned by “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, reopened last year after a years-long closure and extensive renovations.
Owen said they grew up going to the Lakewood restaurant and have been back since it opened.
Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson was also recently spotted at the restaurant.
The “Avengers: Endgame” and “Captain Marvel” star shared a photo of herself drinking root beer in the game room of Casa Bonita.
“Root beer… on tap?!!” Larson posted to Instagram.
Larson, 35, won the Academy Award for best actress for the 2015 film “Room.” She has starred as the superhero Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Captain Marvel,” “Avengers: Endgame” and “The Marvels.”
Larson also starred in “Kong: Skull Island,” “Trainwreck,” “21 Jump Street,” and “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.”
