Sunny, warm conditions continue, ahead of a wintry change possible next week.
DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Laurann Robinson
THE FORECAST AT A GLANCE:
Warm, sunny weather continues, Wednesday, with afternoon temperatures in the middle 70s.
We’ll watch for a front to push in Thursday, brining gusty conditions and increasing fire concerns. Watch for winds to gust up to 40-50 mph across the foothills, and up to 30 mph around the Denver metro.
The cold front brings down those temperatures to the mid-60s for a high for Friday, but then we’ll warm right back up again for this weekend and for next Monday ahead of our next big storm system. Highs could touch 80° on Sunday for the home Broncos game.
Then, a strong storm approaches from the west, bringing us a big cooldown starting on Tuesday. There’s a good chance we get some rain initially before a possible flip to snow for Tuesday night and/or Wednesday morning. And make sure to get those sprinklers blown out if you haven’t already; we’re likely looking at a few days of sub-freezing temperatures for the first time this season next week!
We’ll keep a close eye on that storm system, but in the meantime, enjoy the warmer weather while we’ve got it!
