Partly cloudy and mid 70s today but back in the 80s for Saturday

High temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday in Denver today. We’ll warm back into the 80s tomorrow.

DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Keely Chalmers

FORECAST AT A GLANCE: It will feel a bit more like Fall today. Temperatures will be cooler with the arrival of a weak cold front. Look for more cloud cover and afternoon temperatures about ten degrees cooler than yesterday with highs in the mid 70s!

The cool down will be short lived as we jump back into the lower 80s with lots of sunshine tomorrow. Winds will pick up tomorrow as well gusting up to 20 mpg in the Denver metro area and stronger across the far eastern plains. As a result, there is an increasing threat for wildfires tomorrow as relative humidity drops to about 10%.

Sunday we’ll cool back into the 70s thanks to a second cold front moving through. Afternoon high temperatures will still be well above normal for this time of year. Our normal high is 67 degrees.

The high temperatures for next week look to stay in the 70s in Denver most days. It’s still warmer than normal, and we could reach 80 degrees again on Wednesday, so the warmer than normal weather continues.
