Oregon State outlasts CSU football in double overtime

The Rams were unable to pull off the road upset as the Beavers hung on to win 39-31.

CORVALLIS, Ore. β€” A wild and crazy game ended with a double-overtime finish.

Oregon State won 39-31.

Oregon State had the first possession of the second OT and scored in one play on a 25-yard run for Anthony Hankerson. Teams must go for two-point conversions beginning in the second OT and Oregon State converted to go up eight.

CSU had to match the score.

CSU had a 4th and goal from the 10 and appeared on the ropes, but a defensive pass interference gave the Rams new life with first-and-goal from the 2.

Then CSU went backwards. Three runs in a row made it 4th and goal at the 6, then an illegal substitution made it 4th and goal from the 11.

The pass to the deep corner for Horton on 4th was incomplete and the Rams lost.
