McDonald’s Boo Buckets returning for Halloween

Boo Buckets will be arriving just in time for Halloween.

WASHINGTON — McDonald’s is getting ready to celebrate the spookiest time of year by bringing back their fan-favorite “Boo Bucket” Happy Meal pails.

The Boo Buckets were first offered at restaurants in 1986 as a limited time promotion, but “vanished for a while” before reappearing for the first time in several years in 2022. This will be the third consecutive year that the pails have returned for Halloween.

The 2024 versions got a revamp with new monster designs in white, orange, green and blue. According to the fast food giant, it’s the first time there’s been a blue boo bucket.

When are boo buckets coming back to McDonald’s?

The buckets, which can double as a kid’s trick-or-treat pail, will be available at participating McDonald’s locations starting Oct. 15, while supplies last.

The Halloween pails also come with themed stickers so fans can customize their boo buckets.

McDonald’s isn’t the only chain trying to get customers in the spirit of spooky season.

Burger King Halloween menu

Burger King has some spooky plans of its own and is launching a “Addams Family Menu” featuring four menu items inspired by the animated films.

The limited-time items include Wednesday’s Whopper, which is a Whopper served on a purple bun, and Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake. There’s also Thing’s Rings and Gomez’s Churro Fries.

The new menu launches Thursday, Oct. 10 at participating locations.

Burger King will also have a limited-edition line of King Jr. Meal toys inspired by the characters from “The Addams Family” films.

Dunkin’ Halloween Bucket

Dunkin’ will be rolling out its own Halloween bucket this year to serve up a 50-count of their MUNCHKINS donut hole treats. The company is also introducing a new Potion Macchiato and a revamped Spider Specialty Donut.

Plus, it’s bringing back DunKings tracksuits, showcased in the company’s Super Bowl 58 ad featuring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Tom Brady, Jack Harlow and Jennifer Lopez.

Dunkin’s Halloween menu lineup will be available starting Oct. 16.
