Motorcylist seriously hurt in Lakewood hit-and-run crash

The crash happened on Kipling Street north of West 6th Avenue and left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Lakewood Police are searching for the driver of a blue truck who hit a motorcyclist over the weekend and then drove away.

The crash happened at 11:54 p.m. on Sept. 28 near the entrance/exit to Hometown Suites at 718 Kipling St., just north of West 6th Avenue.

According to police, the driver of the blue truck was leaving the parking lot when they collided with a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with multiple serious injuries, police said. The driver of the truck immediately left scene without checking on the victim.

The vehicle involved is an older blue truck with damage to the driver’s side rear quarter panel. The driver was only described as an older white man with white hair.

The truck was last seen headed north on Kipling Street.
