A brief taste of fall today before record heat tomorrow

It’ll stay hot and dry for the foreseeable future, with a slightly cooler today today ahead of what’s likely to be our latest 90-degree day on record tomorrow.

DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Chris Bianchi

FORECAST AT A GLANCE: It is an unusually warm and dry end to the month of September. Thanks to a weak dry front that moved through midday no records today! And cooler highs in the mid 70s forecast for Tuesday!

But that more seasonal feel won’t last long; highs jump right back into the upper 80s in Denver for Tuesday. There’s a good chance we hit 90°, and if we do, it’d be our latest 90° reading on record in Denver.

It mostly stays dry and warm all week long with highs in the 80s most days, and Saturday could (again) feature record heat with another spike into the upper 80s in Denver.

There’s no real hint of more of a prolonged fall-like feel, so this extended stay of summer is likely to last for a while yet.
