After breaking a record high, Thursday, sunny, warm weather continues through the next 7-days.
DENVER — FORECAST BY: 9NEWS Weather Impact Team Meteorologist Laurann Robinson
TODAY AT A GLANCE:
Another record high goes down, Thursday afternoon, marking our 8th-latest 90 degree day on record. Denver International Airport officially reached 93 degrees, beating the record high of 90 degrees, last set in 2010.
A weak cool front will push through Friday, dropping highs across the front range and eastern plains in the middle 80s (still above our seasonal high of 75 degrees). This front will also bring very spotty, brief rain showers across the high country. Nothing heavy or widespread is expected, just a few raindrops here and there.
For the weekend, prepare for more sunshine and heat. Highs rise a tad, into the upper 80s, Saturday, then even further, into the lower 90s, Sunday. Additionally, Denver could break another record high, Sunday, currently sitting at 92 degrees, last set in 1892.
Afternoon temperatures remain in the 80s through most of next week, with another possible heat record going down Wednesday. Stay tuned!
