Starbucks said its new latte tastes like fall, “bringing together pecan flavors, baking spices and rich brown buttery notes.”
DENVER — Starbucks has dropped a surprise seasonal beverage just as autumn begins Sunday morning.
Starbucks released the new Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte on Thursday at its stores across the United States.
The coffee giant said the new drink is “inspired by the popular flavor and aroma of homemade pecan pie” and will be available for a limited time while supplies last.
Starbucks Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte features Starbucks Blonde Espresso with oatmilk, flavors of pecan, buttery notes and holiday baking spices and is finished off with a pecan crunch topping.
The drink is available hot and iced (with nondairy vanilla sweet cream cold foam).
“We were really focused on what people are thinking, feeling, and doing during the holidays,” said Patrick Penny, lead beverage developer for Starbucks. “We asked questions like, where are you going? What inspires joy? How could Starbucks play a role in uplifting your day during the season?”
The Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte joins Starbucks’ other seasonal menu items including the Pumpkin Spice Latte and Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato.
“It’s fitting to these cooler days and feels like the perfect transition from classic fall beverages into holiday beverages,” Penny said. “We’ve got pumpkin, we’ve got apple, and now we’ve got pecan. It’s the ‘pie-fecta!’”
