Man killed in Loveland was fatally stabbed

The victim’s daughter, Heather Cushman, was booked into the Larimer County Jail on one count of second-degree murder.

LOVELAND, Colo. — A Loveland woman was arrested in connection with her father’s death that is being investigated as a homicide, the Loveland Police Department said.

Just before 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 9, officers responded to a call reporting that a “dispute” between two people at a home in the 800 block of East 6th Avenue had become physical and that one of the people involved was seriously injured, according to the release. 

When they arrived at the residence, officers found a man dead, the release said. After conducting a preliminary investigation, police arrested 32-year-old Heather Cushman, of Loveland. She was booked into the Larimer County Jail on one count of second-degree murder. According to an arrest affidavit, the victim was the suspect’s father. 

The victim has been identified as 60-year-old John “Clint” Cushman. An autopsy found his cause of death was stab wounds.
