LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office issued mandatory evacuations for a new wildfire that sparked Monday morning near Crystal Lakes.
The mandatory evacuation is for Crystal Lakes, south of Black Mountain and north of Lake Erie.
There’s also a voluntary evacuation zone from north of Black Mountain to the Wyoming state line.
About 11:30 a.m., the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on the social media platform X that they had received reports of a smoke plume in the Crystal Lakes area and that fire personnel were responding.
