UPDATE: Hazardous travel conditions likely Saturday, NWS says – Salina Post

UPDATE 4:30 p.m. Wednesday:  The National Weather Service has provided additional information about the winter storm expected in the eastern half of Kansas this weekend.

Travel impacts will be likely Saturday and Saturday evening for areas generally along and especially east of Interstate 135 due to snow and blowing snow. Those planning to travel should keep an eye on the forecast over the next couple of days.

Chances are increasing for light snow across eastern Kansas late Friday into Saturday.

For now, Salina is on the western edge of the anticipated snowstorm, however there remains some uncertainty in the exact track of the incoming system, according to the National Weather Service.
