MADISON, Wis. — Unvaccinated Wisconsinites now have a few more weeks to claim $100 if they get vaccinated.
Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced Friday that they’re extending the vaccine incentive program until Sept. 19. It was originally supposed to run through Labor Day.
Since the incentive was launched Aug. 20, more than 65,000 Wisconsinites have gotten their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
“We’re excited to see so many Wisconsinites across the state rolling up their sleeves to get the COVID-19 vaccine to help protect the health and safety of themselves and others and claiming their $100 reward,” Evers said. “I’m glad to be able to extend this program to give others the opportunity to take advantage of this great offer, and to do their part to help protect our state and stop the spread of the Delta variant.”
In order to get the reward, residents will need to register by filling out a form online or calling 844-684-1064. Information will be used to verify that residents got their first dose between Aug. 20 and Sept. 19.
The payments will come in the form of a $100 bank rewards card. Cards will be mailed to participants’ addresses and may take up to six weeks to arrive.
Proof of insurance, I.D., or citizenship isn’t required. Wisconsinites ages 12 and older are eligible.
