UFC Vegas 36 weigh-in results: Derek Brunson, Darren Till on weight for main event, one fighter misses – MMA Fighting

Chalk up another setback for Jonathan Martinez at the scale.

Martinez was the lone fighter to miss weight at Friday’s official morning weigh-ins for UFC Vegas 36, which takes place Saturday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. He weighed in at 138 pounds, two pounds over the limit for his preliminary bantamweight bout against Marcelo Rojo (135.5).

This is the second time in Martinez’s UFC career that he has missed weight. For a bantamweight bout against Frankie Saenz on Aug. 1, 2020, Martinez weighed in at 140.5 pounds, 4.5 pounds over the limit.

It is not yet known if the Martinez-Rojo bout will proceed at a catchweight and if so, what purse penalty Martinez will forfeit to Rojo.

Middleweight headliners Derek Brunson and Darren Till made weight without incident, with Brunson tipping the scales at 186 pounds and Till at 185.5.
